Previous basin-network papers established the need for repeatable comparison across major sedimentary systems. This paper applies that approach to the Levant Basin and North Sea Basin as two offshore basins with strong public-data relevance and institutional visibility.
Observable constraints include offshore basin depth, sediment package thickness, structural segmentation, margin geometry, fault-bounded accommodation, source-reservoir-seal architecture, and regional continuity.
Reference areas include the Eastern Mediterranean offshore Israel and Cyprus, the Nile Delta margin of Egypt, the Central and Northern North Sea, the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the United Kingdom Continental Shelf.
The framework evaluates whether basin architecture, sediment accumulation, and structural compartmentalization remain useful comparison variables across separate offshore provinces.
This constraint model supports future comparative analysis of offshore resource systems while preserving bounded scientific language: the focus remains on measurable basin relationships, not speculative equivalence.
