Planetary-scale geological observations occur upon a curved surface. As spatial separation increases, conventional map-based comparisons may obscure relationships that become more apparent when evaluated through spherical geometry.

This framework evaluates geological comparison through great-circle relationships, angular separation, chord geometry, anchor spacing, regional continuity, and planetary-scale distribution.

Reference systems include the Aegean region, Dead Sea Basin, Arabian structural provinces, Zagros Fold Belt, Himalayan systems, Mount Everest, Mariana Trench, and selected planetary geological anchors.

The objective is to establish a repeatable methodology for comparing geological systems using the shortest measurable paths across a spherical Earth.
