Oceanic Response Patterns

Oceanic domains preserve event information differently than continental domains.

Because oceanic crust is younger and more frequently recycled, the strongest surviving signal may exist in basin geometry, mantle correspondence, trench organization, and large-scale asymmetry rather than original crustal material.

Observation

The Pacific basin, Mariana region, oceanic trenches, abyssal plains, and basin-scale bathymetric gradients provide key datasets for event reconstruction.

Constraint Analysis

If the event produced oceanic-scale response, the signal should appear as organized basin architecture, not merely isolated trench depth or local deformation.

Signal Question

Does oceanic structure preserve a coherent response pattern linked to the event, or are observed patterns fully explained by later plate-tectonic evolution?

Verification Path

Testing requires comparison between bathymetry, gravity fields, mantle tomography, trench geometry, and reconstructed plate histories.
