Lunar Composition Observations
The composition of the Moon provides one of the most important observational datasets available to early Earth reconstruction.
Unlike geometric observations, compositional measurements provide direct information regarding material properties.
Observable Properties
Scientific investigations have identified numerous compositional characteristics of lunar materials including mineralogy, elemental abundance, isotopic relationships, and volatile content.
These observations form an independent constraint network separate from terrestrial geometry.
Constraint Function
Any viable Day Zero reconstruction must remain compatible with observed lunar composition.
The purpose of this section is not to explain composition but to establish it as a measurable boundary condition.
