Earth–Moon System Introduction

Any planetary reconstruction extending to approximately 4.096 billion years before present must address the Earth–Moon system.

The Moon represents the largest surviving object potentially associated with the earliest phases of Earth history.

Primary Constraint

Regardless of mechanism, any viable Day Zero framework must remain compatible with the existence, scale, orbital characteristics, and material properties of the Moon.

Failure to satisfy Earth–Moon system constraints would significantly weaken the reconstruction.

Independent Evidence

The Earth–Moon system provides an observational framework independent of terrestrial geometry.

This independence makes it one of the most valuable constraint classes available.
