Great Circle Reconstruction III

The midpoint test is the strongest geometric extension of the entrance-exit relationship.

Two candidate domains can define a great-circle path. A third candidate midpoint domain tests whether additional structure exists along that path.

Midpoint Logic

If a candidate midpoint domain lies near the expected great-circle midpoint, the framework gains a stronger geometric constraint.

If no plausible midpoint relationship exists, the reconstruction loses a major supporting structure.

Earth: Day Zero evaluates the Mauna Kea / Hawaiʻi region as the candidate midpoint domain.

The significance of this candidate depends upon plate reconstruction, equatorial context, domain uncertainty, and compatibility with the entrance-exit pathway.

Constraint Strength

A three-domain relationship is more restrictive than a two-domain relationship.

For this reason, midpoint testing becomes a central component of the Book I geometric framework.
