Geometry as Evidence
Most planetary reconstructions rely heavily upon physical mechanisms. Earth: Day Zero begins one step earlier by asking whether geometry itself carries evidentiary value.
The central premise is that large-scale spatial relationships may constrain possible explanations before detailed mechanisms are introduced.
Geometry Is Observable
Unlike many inferred properties, geometry is directly observable. Positions, alignments, distances, angular relationships, and great-circle relationships can be measured independently of any preferred interpretation.
This makes geometry a useful starting point for hypothesis testing.
Ordered Relationships
Random structures can still form geometric patterns by coincidence. The relevant question is therefore not whether alignments exist, but whether multiple independent domains exhibit ordered relationships that exceed expected randomness.
Earth: Day Zero evaluates geometry as a constraint network rather than a single alignment claim.
Geometry Before Dynamics
If a proposed entrance domain, exit domain, and midpoint domain exhibit coherent spatial ordering, then physical mechanisms must account for that ordering.
If the ordering does not survive testing, subsequent dynamic models become unnecessary.
Implications For Reconstruction
Geometry does not prove causation. Geometry does, however, restrict the range of plausible explanations.
For this reason, the Earth: Day Zero framework begins with geometric domains, geometric constraints, and geometric falsifiability before proceeding into energetics, angular momentum, and planetary response.
